April – Below Internal Sales Revenue Target
That is the first line of T.S. Elliot’s “The Wasteland”. That also sums up our April performance. April is only 20 working days. If you deduct Holy Week and the ASEAN Summit, April will only have 16 working days. That’s not a whole lot days to make up for sales.
This is not a crappy shot to our sales and marketing team. They are doing a tremendous job. It’s just that it’s very frustrating to have so few days in a month and then all of sudden deduct another 2 days because of the ASEAN summit.
Yes, we will get our 2 million monthly sales revenue but we will miss our internal sales revenue target. As hard as we try to call and close sales, we can only do so much with so very few days. We are on track, a record I don’t want to have, for our lowest monthly sales revenue since October 2016.
We can probably squeeze out some more of our follow ups. However, our PhilGEPS sales will take the hit this month. April was not a bad month but we had planned on 18 working days for April and set a target with those days in mind.
With our team building coming up at the end of the month, I am hoping our guys will come back fresh and recharged for May. There are a lot of catching up to do in May!
Silver Lining
A silver lining to this is that for May, we already have tons of PhilGEPS POs waiting in line. This will let us catch up to reach our quarterly goals.
We will make up April by upping our May sales revenue. We are sure to pole vault our May sales to new heights and reach our quarterly goal.
April is a challenging month but we faced it head on. We will brush that aside and look forward and conquer May with all our best. We will use April as momentum to meet and exceed our May sales revenue target.
