Thermal paper rolls are an essential part of any business. Almost all businesses, retail, grocery, parking systems, restaurants, etc., use thermal paper rolls. It is very important for business owners and their employees to know characteristics of thermal paper rolls.
Ordinary receipts versus thermal paper rolls
Thermal papers are different from any ordinary receipt. When you feel a thermal paper roll, it is smooth compared to an ordinary receipt. An ordinary receipt is what we call journal papers. You can tell if your business uses thermal paper rolls. If you scratch the surface with your fingernail or any blunt or pointed object and it turns black, you are using thermal papers.
You wouldn’t know it but POS machines or cash registers have thermal paper specifications. This is to prevent jamming, wear and tear and inconsistent printing. The minimum thermal paper roll specifications can be found in the manual. The manual would also list the approved quality type of paper to be used. Make sure that you purchase the correct thermal paper quality for your POS machine or cash register.
Mostaco Marketing’s thermal papers are packaged 75 rolls per box. We also package 50 rolls per box but most of our customers prefer 75 rolls per box. Thermal paper rolls need to be wrapped so it will last longer. Wrapping thermal papers also protect it from any dirt and contaminants from the outside environment. This helps protect thermal papers.
If you have unwrapped your thermal papers, make sure it is far from oils and alcohols since this can blacked the edges. Also, make sure unwrapped thermal papers are away from heat and sunlight since it can cause severe damage to the roll.
